Testimonials

Here's what families at Community School are saying.

"The staff really know my child inside and out... his preference, dislikes, and his unique ways of showing happiness or stress. I love how the staff we have built relationships stays with him for a few years, creating consistency for both him and us as parents."
James Chen
Parent, Community School
"Community school has greatly reduced my anxiety on a daily basis by giving me the skills and knowledge to know how to handle challenging behaviors or issues that arise. It's given me a life line that I can call and know that I've got people on my team who won't stop working until they find a solution that works for my child. It's given me a balance that I wouldn't have at other therapy centers because Matthew can go to school and receive therapy under the same roof and during the same hours. I can't imagine living without the relief that Community School has brought to my family."
Sarah Mitchell

"Community School has far exceeded my expectations for my child. Not only does he thrive in the educational and therapeutic programs he is enrolled in, he has gained friendships and a sense of belonging. That is priceless to a mother like me. There really is nothing better than your child experiencing a true sense of belonging in a community that is truly celebratory of him and his accomplishments!"

Frequently Asked Questions

We answer the questions families ask us most. If you need more, we're a phone call away.

Who does Community School serve?

We serve students with a wide range of abilities, needs, and learning styles.  Our staff is expert in serving learners diagnosed with ADHD, autism, OCD, rare genetic conditions, learning disabilities, communication disorders, as well as those with medical complexities and comorbidities.  We serve both neurotypical and neurodiverse learners.  Each student brings their own strengths and challenges, and we build around their reality. Our approach works because we don't try to fit students into a mold.

How does the integrated model work?

Students are not expected to bounce between classrooms and therapy sessions. Teachers and therapists work together in the same building, sharing information and adjusting support in real time. It's seamless because it has to be. That's how real learning happens. What's the admissions process like?

What's the admissions process like?

We start with a conversation. We want to understand your student and your family's needs. Then we assess fit and work together to build a plan. There's no rush, no pressure. Just honest talk about whether we're the right place for you.

Can you support my student's specific needs?

That depends on what those needs are. We're equipped to handle a wide range of learning profiles and behavioral support needs. The best way to know is to reach out and tell us about your learner. We'll be straight with you about what we can do.

What happens after graduation?

We prepare students for life beyond our walls. That means building independence, work skills, and the confidence to navigate the world. We stay connected with our graduates and support their transition into adulthood.
